which gaming console or pc?

i want to buy a gaming console budget is $100-125 ...which one i already hav psp 3000 but games r costly...i prefer pirated ones.which should i go fo gaming console or a graphic card (config :quad core ,2 gb ram ,2.4 ghz,128 mb inbuilt graphics.)

For $100 you could get a used video card, maybe a geforce 7 series. That would put your pc's video card on the level of the ps3, the best consoles get, but not as good in terms of the cpu or game design, or number of good games. For $100 it might be the best option.

You could also get a ps2 for $100, as they have just reduced the price, and as their ad campaign says, there are over 1,800 ps2 games... and most of them are used and can be got for $5. If you want to steal them you'd have to mod the ps2 which costs some money, when the games are $5 anyhow there is no point.

You could get an old xbox and a couple of games.

That's about it. $100 isn't much of a budget.

Got an Xbox 360? Then there's no need to buy yourself a separate media streamer. It's not just a games console you know.

While the Xbox 360 might have enjoyed phenomenal success as a games console, it has some other rather nifty tricks up its sleeve. Although the Xbox 360 has no built-in wireless, it does have an Ethernet connection, and there's a wireless adaptor available, although it does only use the 802.11g standard.

The Xbox 360 is designed to connect to a PC running Windows Media Center, and if you have a PC running that (either Vista, or Windows XP MCE) then the system works very well. The Xbox's interface is pretty much the same as Media Center and it is slick and easy to use. If you don't have a PC running any form of media center, then you can use Windows Media Player 11 instead.

Once sharing has been setup, the Xbox is able to connect and browse the folders in much the same way as any other media streamer. It's not nearly as good as the Media Center Interface, and it has a nasty habit of failing to connect to our shared library, but when it works, it's pretty good. Since Microsoft updated the firmware, the Xbox is able to play Xvid and DivX content, but cannot play some other file formats. In this case, you can use a program called Tversity (www.tversity.com) which can transcode incompatible file formats on the fly, into ones the Xbox can play.

Using Tversity, the Xbox can even stream live video feeds, which is a pretty unique feature. An alternative is to use Orb (www.orb.com), which enables you to view almost any content you wish to share, by using folder sharing. You may not think that the Xbox is a natural contender for streaming audio and video to your TV and stereo, but after testing a large number of media streamers, we have to say the Xbox is actually one of the best devices we've ever used, especially when you decide to use it with Media Center.

Many Xbox 360 consoles experience disc errors at one time or another. I personally had to install a new disc drive into my system because of disc errors. Arachnophobia is the fear of eight-legged insects, which includes the two main characters of Deadly Creatures. The premise of this title is that you play as two creepy crawlers navigating through the deadly insect realm while overhearing a tale of death and treasure.

These two words combined with arachnids were enough to get us excited. Deadly Creatures is a very interesting title for the Wii and makes efficient use of the Wii's unique control system. Both the standard Wii controls are used and involve many combinations of buttons and wrist actions to achieve the desired outcome. The ability to take control of both a scorpion and tarantula is a very unique experience. It ignites some primal instinctive urges that as modern humans we have buried deep down inside ourselves. The ability to stab some helpless insect with a scorpion's stinger or pump it full of spider venom is a satisfying one and will continue to thrill you every time the opportunity presents itself.

The control system is relatively easy and thankfully the manual details every maneuver and works well as a quick reference guide. The tarantula levels are a full 360° combat arena and require some puzzle solving to navigate. The scorpion levels are limited, since as the scorpion you cannot traverse ceilings but you can climb walls and bury yourself under the ground to pounce on unsuspecting victims.

The graphics are very good and do well to show off the abilities of the Wii, as limited as those may be. The creatures, especially the main characters, look amazing and scuttle around in a life-like manner. The tarantula springs around with an agility that will make your skin crawl and you can use its web to stun prey. You can also use your web to navigate around a level and use the full 360° of freedom to its full potential.

Unfortunately you are limited to the areas that you can use your web in this manner and any dreams of being nature's version of Spiderman are shattered early on in the game. As the spider you may have agility, but not as much brute strength as the scorpion. You will have to rely on your victims to make mistakes and open themselves up to your attacks which can be a bit irritating, especially when you come up against beetles that have hard exoskeletons.

Your agility is your main weapon against bosses that you take on as the spider. The scorpion, by contrast, lacks the agility of the spider, but makes up for it in strength and ground attacks, which provide you with the less frustrating frontal assault on anyone who stands in your way.

The story is unraveled in an unusual way. Since you play as two arachnids you have no direct involvement in the actual plotline. This form of third-person interaction with the plotline is delightfully unique and increases your desire to hear as much of the plot that each chapter will permit, this makes the story more entertaining. The human voice-overs are done by Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper and provide that little something to make the story feel more real. While the gameplay is excellent, the plotline riveting and the bosses surprisingly challenging, the plotline is too short and the bosses too few. Normal insects are easily beaten, so the few bosses provide challenging encounters but, alas, leave you wanting more.

As a title Deadly Creatures will definitely satisfy. It is a unique title that will make Wii owners dust off their pearly white consoles and have some fun.

Prototype
Prototype is an upcoming sandbox-style action game in development by Radical Entertainment and based on an original IP developed in-house. The game is slated for release on June 9th, 2009 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Microsoft Windows.

The gameplay in Prototype is centered around Alex Mercer's superhuman abilities. Alex has superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, and healing as well as the abilities of consuming his fallen enemies, shape-shifting his body and easily moving in an open-world New York City environment.

Overlord II
Overlord II is an third-person action-adventure game developed by Triumph Studios and published by Codemasters for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3. It is the sequel to the 2007 video game Overlord and expected to be launch on June, 23.

The gameplay of the first game, which consisted of controlling the Overlord who in turn sent his minions to do most of the work, has been retained for this sequel, but, it has been greatly expanded. The intelligence and destructiveness of the minions have been improved and the new AI is able to do more things than before, such as riding mounts, using war machines and sailing warships.

The Conduit
It is a futuristic first-person shooter game under development by High Voltage Software for the Wii console and expected to launch on June, 23. The Conduit was first revealed by IGN on April 17, 2008 and on October 29, 2008 the developer announced that Sega had signed on to be the game's official publisher.

High Voltage Software created the Quantum3 engine to make The Conduit a comparable experience visually to games on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 despite the Wii's hardware limitations. The Conduit will also support the recently announced Wii Speak peripheral, allowing online multiplayer gamers the ability to chat as they destroy aliens in each terrifying level.

The Conduit provides an experience typical of a first-person shooter, focusing on combat in a 3D environment and taking place from the first-person perspective of a playable character.

Fight Night Round 4
Fight Night Round 4 is a boxing video game developed by EA Sports. It is the sequel to EA Sports' previous boxing title, Fight Night Round 3, released in 2006. The game is scheduled for release on June 30th, 2009 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Fight Night Round 4 will feature over 40 licensed fighters. There will be several new modes such as the Legacy Mode. The game's cover will feature Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson.

The hot thing today is the PSP. If you don't have one, you may not understand why. If you do, you understand the draw of it. The PSP is a piece of equipment that goes far beyond a portable video game.

The games are on a small disk known as a UMD that can be carried around easily. There are also memory sticks that you can use to store games on. So, how do you download games onto your PSP from your computer?

Here is your guide:

When programmers design games specifically for the PSP, they are sometimes referred to as Homebrew Games. Some of these Homebrew Games are made for the PSP game console to mimic games made for other systems so you do not have to have every console made in order to play every game.

For example, a game that was made for Nintendo may be Homebrewed to play with your PSP console so you can have the fun of the Nintendo, but not the expense. This is just one of the many selling points for the PSP because you can download Homebrew PSP games from just about anywhere you look online.

To download a game on to PSP from the Internet, you will need a PSP memory stick with sufficient memory. It is advisable that the stick have at least 1GB of memory to accommodate graphic, sound and any personal settings. However, these cards can get expensive, so if you do not have one or do not have the money to buy one, a 256 MB stick will most likely work. If your stick is brand new, it will have to be formatted before downloading.

An important note: you will need your PSP Firmware version 1.5 or less. If you have a newer PSP you may have to downgrade.

It is quite simple to download games for PSP from the Internet to your PC , then move the files from your computer to the PSP itself. When you hook up the PSP to the PC via a USB cable, the PC will recognize it as a removable memory device. Then the computer will assign a drive; usually the f: drive; and then you can simply drag and drop your PSP game files to the memory stick.

After the games for the PSP are transferred to the memory stick, tell the computer you want to disconnect the PSP. Once the computer gives the 'all clear' you can safely remove the PSP.

The PSP's main menu will have a listing called GAME and press the Memory Stick option. After pressing X, a list is displayed of the games on your memory stick. If there is an error displayed, you might want to check the version of Firmware you are using.

Now that you know how to download games onto PSP ...go out there and give it a shot. This is a technique that has been used to download games onto PSP countless times.

Many people believe that the current generation of consoles provides the most evenly matched competition from the products released by the big entertainment companies in the history of video games. Why would people choose the Nintendo Wii -- a console which is based on the exact engineering that powered the older Nintendo Gamecube -- over technological powerhouses like the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3? Here are some compelling reasons for such a decision:

In fact, of all 3 major video gaming companies, Nintendo has the most number of original properties that has amassed a very big following worldwide. Brands like Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Pokemon, Animal Crossing and Donkey Kong are among the most recognizable properties in the world today, and their games can only be found on a Nintendo system.

Nintendo Console new approach to gaming appeals to casual players who may have never touched a video game before. Motion controlled games are more appealing for everyone, and they are more accessible than conventional controllers.

The Nintendo Wii's design technology allows for software programs that are more than just games. The best selling Wii Fit is a prime example of this. The Nintendo Wii allows software programs to focus on fitness regimes, weight loss programs, point-and-click applications and the likes.

The Wii is way more affordable than the other consoles, though with recent price cuts, the Xbox 360 is also a viable option price-wise.
