Slate tile is one stone which occur all over the place and in mass quantity. For both residential and commercial building slate tiles are used in interior and exterior .it can be used for flooring, roofing, counter top. its come in a wide range of colours which is a part of the appeal of the slate. Beyond its thermal resistant there are some other advantages to slate tiles. Its rough surface is very much resistant to slip even when wet or greased. It is also durable if installed with care and in a proper way. Slate tiles can also be used to keep room warm or cool creating radiant heating and cooling.
The colour of the slate tiles are often threaded through the tiles and it gives the whole thing a whole new flavor. It is very nice to walk on the top of the floor as it provides a very fashionable bade for the room in which it is installed. It can be grey, green, blue, black, red, orange or brown, often with veins of colour running through the tile. Some time it is used to give more natural look to the room because it multi coloured. Being a nature's product no two tiles are identical. Some people like slate because it is non- slippery and the surface is not perfectly smooth. Slate tiles are timeless and stylish, and provides a very spacious feeling and look.
But besides all these qualities it has some drawback. Slate tiles absorb a fair part of moisture; this cannot be installed in damp places like kitchen and bathrooms. Get effected by food spills and liquid spills .It adheres dust easily and looks dirty though can be cleansed with a mild detergent and a brush.
Slate tiles add a lot of beauty to your home by making the whole atmosphere very vibrant and colourful. It adds colour to aesthetic value of one's home.
